KRAZY MADNESS Is Winnipeg's Heavy Metal Version Of The Partridge Family
April 2, 2011According to the Winnipeg Free Press, Winnipeg metal-reggae band KRAZY MADNESS is comprised of father/guitarist/singer Patrick Bellemare, 39, and sons Kevin, 17, and Kelsey, 15, on drums and bass, respectively.
Formed in 2007, KRAZY MADNESS came together after Bellemare — who once worked as a roadie for acts such as NAZARETH, HELIX and APRIL WINE — and his sons managed to get backstage at an OZZY OSBOURNE show.
Despite the addition of guitarist Baz Ganglia to the group's ranks last fall, KRAZY MADNESS remains very much a family affair. Bellemare's partner, Lisa, handles most of the behind-the-scenes duties while daughter Kaya, 10, and son Kozzy, are waiting in the wings.
"Kaya plays the keyboards and is a great singer and Kozzy is all over the drums and guitar. He likes QUIET RIOT," Bellemare says. In addition, Kozzy's godfather is none other than former OZZY OSBOURNE guitarist and current BLACK LABEL SOCIETY leader Zakk Wylde (pictured below with KRAZY MADNESS).
